Through the Dust
This bull elephant was grazing in the shallow water of the Zambezi River on the Zambia / Zimbabwe border shortly after sunset.
It was interesting to watch him clean the roots of the grass by splashing it in the water to remove the mud.
This is one of my favourite shots of David. He was nice enough to stay in this spot until that beautiful morning light moved from his lower body onto his face. Then, once I got my shot, he got up and continued his morning exercise.
